A taste of one’s own medicine

The Ombud for children and young adults in Viken is pioneering innovative approaches to connect with both young individuals and adults. Their creative methods include designing an escape room themed around bullying, implementing Dialogue Mats, and crafting their unique discussion guide. By Lasse Jalling - Partner and learning architect

Specifique has been honoured to craft several programs on digital judgement, social bullying, and online awareness in collaboration with the Ombudsperson for Bullying (formerly known as the Ombud for Children and Young Adults) and the Norwegian Media Authority. The head of the department, Bodil Houg, is a forward-thinking individual, constantly seeking innovative methods that yield positive results. A testament to our successful partnership is the Ombudsperson’s development of their own dialogue tools, which were sparked by our collaborative efforts — a development we deeply cherish!

For an internal assembly, Bodil was keen to have her team experience the very methods they often recommend to others. It was only fitting to inquire if Specifique had a Dialogue Mat apt for their first in-person meeting after a significant hiatus. Indeed, we had the perfect fit. The team at the Ombud for Children and Young Adults opted for our “corona mat” to deliberate on the dynamics of future interactions and collaborations. According to Bodil, it worked:

Hello,

It was a great experience!😊 The processes were very effective, and I’ll certainly be utilising them moving forward.

Thank you for providing such a remarkable tool. It was precisely what we needed at this juncture.
